Welcome.

My advice, be patient and ask! If you have questions make sure you ask, there are a few little things that if you do right now will make you a solid team down the road.

Hey, new here as well

Just wondering at this beginning stage if I should train one position and sell the excess players later on to buy the remaining 4 positions or should I just focus on a solid team to get wins?

thanks, you advice will be greatly appreciated.

I would say this is debatable. If you have a good trainer (at least level 4) and a couple of blue chip prospects (ie: U21 potentials), then I would say go with one position training. Otherwise, 2 position training is probably the better option. Train 5 guys and use the money to get those blue chip prospects, plus a better trainer. Then you can think about 1 position training.

I'd do what HPP suggests. I'm only in my second full season, but by buying low, training guys up, and selling high I managed to put a couple million in the bank, buy a level 6 trainer, and through the draft and transfer market acquire a couple young players to build my team around. Now I plan to sit near the bottom of Div III for a couple seasons while my young players improve, and then put the rest of the pieces I need in place to move up. I think the key is not to rush.

On a side note, the draft can be excellent when you're in Div 4 because there are so many bot teams and also new users who may not put much money into scouting. I had the last pick in my league last year after winning, but still got my top 2 choices.
