I just tried what happens, when I'm going to build some new courtside seats.

And take a look: http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/26174/arena.aspx It worked!

So wouldn't it be better, to set a limit or something to make it impossible to build more than 500 / 50 seats of these categories.

There were a few ongoing expansions that would take people over the cap, and every couple of days we're fixing those until those expansions have completed.

Is this automagical or do you need reports about oversized arenas to fix them? I'm looking at one as I'm typing this.

The one I know about is Obilic P-K (172765) who currently has 555 courtside seats and 55 boxes. This has been the case for several days.
