It only shows if particular threads have unread messages. But there have been many times where the forums page won't show any new posts (As the 5 or so threads they preview don't have new messages) but yet if I go in to the forum there are 3 or 4 threads that have new messages.

Just seems wierd.

If you have some older messages that you have not read, yes it will not show them. But if you browse any forum, you can see your favorites on the left side. That shows how many unread messages you have in forums.

Yes but you have to enter the forum to check that. All messages in all my favourite folders are read (I clicked mark all as read). But what I mean is when you click Forums on the menu, it takes you to the sneak peek page for your favourite forums. That page should tell you how many unread messages there are in the forum.

I have so many forums in favorites, that I have always unread messages in some of them. Usually the newes updates will be also shown on the sneak peak page. If you some of the new ones and leave the old ones unread, it sometimes will not show any messages on sneak peak page.

I always make sure all messages are read, so everytime there is a new message it should appear on the Sneak Peak page. And for me it doesn't which I think is a bit strange.

Usually the messages not showing are: closed thread or message deleted posts. It's a trivial problem for me, but it might affect you more.

ah okay strange. For me the messages not showing are often actual valid messages.
It's not a big deal, but it would just be more convenient if number of unread posts could be viewed from the forums page, or from the Manage my team page.

Yep I'm prolly not really affected by this, because I spend most of my time in BB, browsing or writing in the forums.
