I disagree. I would run Patient and 3-2/1-3-1. FCP will cause more turnovers on your part but will have lots of gaps on your opponents defense. Patient will lessen the impact of FCP because your players will slow the pace down and will have better focus in finding gaps in his defense. Run n Gun is outside focused, so you can match that with an outside focused defense (3-2 or 1-3-1). Plus his inside offense is pitiful anyway.

I would go with a high pace offense like motion and a 3-2 defense. 1-3-1 will give him too much 2nd chances

I agree, i play motion in my last match against FCP and is working good, but you must have good passing from all your players to reduce turnovers

The main thing against FCP is that you´ll have a huge chance to catch the offensive board, cause his defense will be all over the floor, so a high speed tatic will improve your chances

to confuse you finally, attack with your strength are they balanced take the formation with higher handling/passing ;) i would take a faster tactic instead of a slow one.

Against run and gun defend 1-3-1 or 3-2 :)

When someone is using full court press, you will fall into trap if you dribble, therefore a calm and good pass required to tackle FCP, therefore i would use Patient.

But for run and gun who is shooting more at outside, 3-2 would be recommended.

look inside is the best offense against FCP but good passing is needed to feed your frontline C/PF . U dont need handling in LI and u will see a great number of offenses completed really fast with dunks ( untill 6 -8 seconds)

Few in my league will go outside the lines and play FCP, but at least the games I have had against FCP, I won convincingly with RnG, and got destroyed with Base Offense.

I regularly play full court press and from experience, I have had troubles against patient offense so you might want to try it.
