Well yeah thats true but the point they were making is that all other things being equal then potential does not affect training speed until the soft cap is reached.

This is something that is quite well established, and anyone who has trained players knows this. In the game manual it says

Additionally, each player (active as of the start of season 5) has a potential which will determine the best that player can possibly become. Potential acts as a "soft" cap on ratings, meaning that a player who has trained to his full potential may still improve, but will improve much more slowly than a player who has not yet reached his potential.

If a player with higher potential were to train faster it would be mentioned here

I think you mean anyone who has trained players EXCEPT YOU knows this.

You can read it anyway you like. If you have any evidence that shows that what was stated is not correct I would love to hear it

Of course not. I asked how you knew, that was all.

You said everyone that trains players knows it, but I didn't.

I said everyone who "has trained", but ok. It's just that it's a topic that has been asked and answered a lot of times. I'm sorry if my reply offended you, that wasn't the point

Why would I be offended?

Please explain what you mean by "has trained" then, since evidently the training I have done does not count.
