I have the same position on my team with two players that were purchased at a point when BB had an issue with recording transfer histories. This fault was soon rectified but unfortunately it was not possible to record these changes. I suspect the player you mention was tranferred during this period.

It's not an advantage whatsoever. He still had to pay for the players, but it just wasn't listed. Like one of my players.
