Potential
5 balls = 10 - 12 (MVP - All-time Great)
4 balls = 8 - 9 (Perennial Allstar - Superstar)
3 balls = 5 - 7 (Starter - Allstar)
2 balls = 3 - 4 (Role Player - 6th Man)
1 ball = 1 - 2 (Announcer - Role Player)

Role Player is listed twice, so the numbers at the top are off.

Announcer = 0
Bench Warmer = 1
Role Player = 2
6th Man = 3
Starter = 4
Star = 5
Allstar = 6
Perennial Allstar = 7
Superstar = 8
MVP = 9
Hall of Famer = 10
All-Time Great = 10+

Hover over any player's potential for confirmation.

You could get a draftee with role player potential with both one or two ball potential. That's why it is listed twice.
And iverbure, you are a lucky man!

Yes, at the top of my list is a 5-5 18 year old SF with A+ rating.

Yes, but on one level it's listed as 2, on the second it's listed as 3. Role player is always 2, whether it's 1-ball or 2-balls.

I don't recall where this is from... but it'll be outdated after salary changes... still a good guide i guess:

(What potential can translate into)
Bench warmer - 8k
role player -13k
6th man - 15-17k
starter - 21-24k
star - 33-40k
allstar - 40-65k
perennial allstar - 80-100k
superstar - 125-145k
MVP -165-195k
hall of famer - Unknown
all-time great – Unknown
