5-star players are the best; 1-star players are the worst according to your scouts. So I would strongly recommend not putting 1s at the top!

Charles my friend, if you move the 1s to the top, then the 2s, then the 3s .. you end up with the 5s at the top and the 1s at the bottom ..

They have an octagon where these disputes get settled.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Something I discovered today: You can ctrl-click all the players in one grade (ex: all the 3's) and then "Move to top"

Of course, I discovered this AFTER I'd moved them one by one...

does it have a cage around it too??
With those little hamster water bottles attached to the cage so they don't dehydrate during the battles??

That'll save a lot of time. I moved all of the 5s to the top and then got tired.

(Yes, I know I should've moved the 1s to the top first, then the 2s, etc. It's early!)

I don't understand how scouting for the draft works.

I just changed my number of scouts to 3. Is the information that is shown based on having one scout up to now, and I may need to catch up toward the end of the season? Can I direct the scouts in any way, or do they simply reveal something about some of the 48 players?

Do the draft players have names, or is that something that happens later?

And does the draft happen all at once? Let's say I want to get a new power forward, so I move several prospects high on the list. If I snag one with my first pick, I might want to go with a pick for another position, so I would like to be able to rearrange my picks.

There's quite a bit of draft info available here (1259.1) and here (1442.1)

The scouting is over for this season. What you invest now goes into your scouting for next season - what you see now is what you get. You can't direct your scouts, they find out information about the players randomly. Obviously, the more you invest, the more they find out about the 48 prospects over the course of a season.

Do the draft players have names, or is that something that happens later?

The players do have names, they are real players. They're just a bit shy at the moment. They'll tell you all about themselves when they join your team. There's also a big list of the entire draft for your league after the event, so you can see everyone and the order they were picked.

Yes, the draft is one big party that happens in one go. A live draft is something we, once upon a time, wanted to do and thought long and hard about it, but it seemed unfair to give an advantage to managers that could be online at the time. It also makes the whole system unnecessarily complicated.

If you do happen to pick 2 exceptional power forwards, you could either adjust your training to take advantage or sell them. Draft picks are a goldmine on the transfer list and easily "swapped" with someone who has what you need.

After the draft does the info provided show what "number" they were in your rankings and where you ranked them??
