Play "take it easy" for a couple of games to get your enthusiasm higher than your opponents, then play normal for a couple games, wash, rinse, repeat.

First of all, having a balanced roster is not that important in the beginning, but it has plenty of advantages. The pf and c won't cost as much as the second poster said. Veteran big men are dropping fast and you could probably get 2 decent starters for under 700k. Maybe even less, this is just what I have been seeing the last few days on the transfer list.

You really do have to look at his opponents' rosters, especially in his own conference. The top teams there have good balanced teams (in terms of salary anyway). He may be able to make the playoffs with his current roster but certainly won't make it to the second round.

But yeah, maybe he could get those kinda players cheaper than what I had written, I might have overpaid for my players. But I feel he'll definitely need to add at least a PF and C to have a chance in the playoffs.
