from what ive read in the economy thread the current value of players (maybe not big men but thats a different issue mainly being 2-3 is useless in 90% of cases.) is only slightly lower then they should be , and while free agents do alter this price downwards they are not the cause of the deflation in prices.

big men are currently selling at insanely low prices due to most teams working out that outside game is now whats important.
in most cases a 3-2 def will be a better def then a 2-3 def . big men are easier to train so there are more of them.
because of this imbalance big men are currently selling very low.

i think thats one of the bigger issues that needs to be looked at.

I think it's hard to find a well trained big man. People settle for def reb big men, because they use outside offence. It's "easy" to train a big man, a lot of managers have trained them. If you train only 2 or 3 skills you will be in a "bad salary" if you do not stop at the right time.
At the moment there are not any cheap decent PF-s for sale, who do not need training in OD, PA, JS(JR). So if you want every position to be able to light it up from the field, you still have to pay.
