i am not sure if a player got a pop up which i didnt notice , but judging from the players that i have been focusing on nothing has changed regarding their experience. I might be mistaken though.

Experience takes a long time to pop up :) Just train them in other skills and over time experience will be gained.

experience means more than just minutes logged.. it means minutes logged in key situations, having the ability to make key decisions.. etc.. and everyone doesn't have to start out on an even playing field..

is it still true?

I have an 18 year old that I got from the last draft. He popped in experience to pitiful after only 6-7 (maybe even less) league games, with 0 cup games. In those games, he played 48 minutes each game (with the exception of 1, where he played 44). And he did not play in many "key situations" because I usually blow out every team by at least 20-30 points. So I was very surprised when he popped, especially after hearing that normally it takes 1 1/2 seasons.

By the way, do playoff games provide more experience than normal league games? Do they provide any experience at all?

He would have had a high sublevel for experience.

So fresh-from-the-draft 18 year olds have different sublevels of experience (of atrocious)?

Some can be as high as pitiful.

I know there have a been a lot of discussion in the forums about experience and no one seems to really no the exact formula....but I can tell you during my cup run this season I had a PG pop twice in two weeks going from 1 to 3 in experience. I had another guy pop from 1 to 2. Until this week I hadn't anyone pop in 5 or 6 weeks; but then a veteran PF popped from 6 to 7. I know there is a debate about whether tourney games, vs league games or scrimmages give you more towards the pop. I am inclined to think that is true.

Are you saying that you had a player that popped consecutive weeks in Experience? Are you 100% sure about this? I don't think that is possible...

100% absolutely guaranteed. I don't know how to give a stronger oath. I have a spreadsheet, and keep track of everything. I have two buddies I told when it happened, other than that, not sure what else to say. I track my game shape/DMI/and Eperience each week.

Now by contrast, I have another player who has played just as much, and in the same games, and he is still at 1 experience. So it's all weird to me.

To clarify it was within a 3-4 game span. He popped to 2, and 2 or 3 games later he popped again to 3.
