I'd lean towards player 2. Really don't like the 6 TO's by player one that much in addition to the extra scoring by Player 2

well i was trying to keep the ratings out of it in this instance. Obviously the player with the better rating, technically has had a 'better game'. What I was trying to achieve was peoples thoughts on the players based purely on statistics, And knowing that both teams played man-on-man, means that they would have been guarding each other for most of the time.

I do agree though, 'rating gives indication of defence', but i was hoping to leave that bit out.

But then again, what does 6 blocks 18 rebounds related in terms of defence? Who had the better defensive game? The guy who got 6 blocks and more rebounds? Or the guy who had the better rating? (hence why i wanted to leave the ratings out of it)

Viojan pretty much killed the other PF. Even though the first guy had 6 blocks, V still did a much better job defensively.

yes pf2 is the famed and beloved junel viojan from the u21 nt

he is like chuck norris and your guy is some random baddie who just gets pounded

junel viojan could beat your whole team playing with 4 lucky fans and the ref would be too scared to say forefit
junel viojan is so fast he can rotate over and help defend his own shot
junel viojan improves so fast he pops on every day not just friday
junel viojan is so skillful he can play 2/3 and win

i think the answer is obvious...

iwen - killed? i wouldnt say blocking your opponent 6 times and outrebounding him is getting killed. yer sure, the other guy played better, but I wouldnt call hiim getting killed. Killed is what Dirk Nowitzki just did to the Oak City thunder in NBA finals.

But anyways! this leads into my next point.
So now lets add another bonus questino to the thread.

PF2 costs an extra $38k a week. Remembering that this is DIV III.

SO my question now is, what is better value?

$20k PF 1? Or $58k PF2?

Doh where is the spoiler alert? Ahhhhhh! NBA Spoiler DO NOT READ!

$58k PF2 because he will take you to division II, earn you a $500,000 promotion bonus and an extra $100,000 a week for 14 weeks.

However I declare my bias, ezyfrag, Junel's coach, is one of my oldest buddies on BB and he is also friends with abigfishy and Iwen.

yes i picked up on the sense of bias in their comments.

So they bloody should comment though, he did play a better game! Id be worried if they said otherwise!

Im curious about your 'taking to division II' comment. The reason why i say that, is because at the moment, he is the 2nd most expensive player in our league, (short of some other guy earning $250k per week).

assuming ezy keeps training him, which i know he has been, next season his salary goes up again. How much jeapordy does this put on Ezys ability to have other good players on his team including JV? JV alone wont win him a chamionship?
Is JV going to be TOO good for DIV III?

Looking at previous winners of this leagues DIV III in past, i dont remember any team having a single player over $45k. Instead, they had a starting lineup that was full of players earning $30-$40k.
and i ask, for my own benefit really :) whether or not to keep training a guy past a certain cut off point, salary wise.
