Awesome, thanks. Disappointing it doesn't boost JR...
Anyways, how bout on a Team Ratings basis, does Driving and Handling improve Offensive flow?

It used to be the completely most popular training type of all way back in season 10 when I started, everyone seemed to love and recommend it. I think it has fallen out of favour a bit now but if you have a guard that can drive and create their own shot it is a beautiful thing.

Probably Dire, mllama and Iwen the NT coaches are best to comment on it but I think it is a really good type of training to do from time to time. A well balanced guard is a good guard. Just don't create one of those one on one monsters we all see on the Tl that have wondrous driving, handling and JS and inept JR, passing and respectable OD.

One on One for Forwards is my favourite training to do. It provides key skills to increase shot attempts and eliminate turnovers, and increases Jump Shot and Inside Shot as well, and best of all it provides a higher number of pops than any other training! And I love seeing pops :D

hahaha yeh when I wasn't as active in my early years on BB I left my training on One on One and did it for almost a whole season... It just looks so much better when you see more than 1 pop a week.
It is a pity that one on one doesn't train OD though, you'd think a One on One training session would be beneficial for One on One defense as well.

In a typical 5 season training plan (assuming driving starts at respectable) you'd train one on one, at most, for 10 weeks. Handling and driving pop as secondaries for pretty much all primary guard skills, so there's no need for it that often, only to bring handling/driving up if it's lagging behind.

It doesn't trainJS fast enough compared to JS so it's not worth the trade-off..

Obviously that's an opinion... Feel free to train it more often if you like..

Outside Shooting and One on One is a good combo for popping JS without sacrificing the rest.

As a guard trainer, I never use it (maybe a little bit to round out a player). I imagine it would be a very useful training type for a big man trainer.

The reason I don't train it is that handling and driving pop with most training types. With my current mob of trainees, I haven't specifically trained driving or handling at all, but they are pretty well keeping pace with their other skills.

That said, driving in particular is probably an underrated skill.

Hmmm thats very true! Probably would've been good to have read your post before setting training for yesterday... I trained One on One and to my surprise got 0 pops!!!
Thanks for the tip, I think I'm going to take your approach and never train One On One again and just let HD and DR pop whenever it does with other Training.

The level and skill of your trainer may have a huge effect how much your players pop. so go ahead and check it out. look to see if they have sufficient minutes for a given week.

I used to spend a certain number of weeks amidst season plan (thanks Iwen) doing JR which I found would give alternating pops to each week to JS and JR. I didn't use One-on-one either until rounding out when they were 25ish. JR is a good option if you want range and JS...just keep in mind the salary jump as a result...

Why are people responding to something from two years ago?
