I also used more effort, normal vs TIE, could be equal come playoff time.

There was a lot of bad luck involved there.

That said, you los because you were outrebounded. Your outside defense is pretty good already, so you don't need to play 3-22 against him and rely on better rebounding from your guys to deny him those second chances.

A few pieces of advice:

Stop playing 2-3 zone. It's a rather risky defense for special occasions. Don't play it against teams that are strong from outside like this opponent. M2M or even 3-2 zone might be better suited for you; 3-2 should even be required against this opponent.

Don't play Look Inside. From the distribution of your offensive ratings, it looks like your team isn't really suited for it all that well. With this kind of a PG, you'll want to play slow tactics in particular to make the most of your passing.

It's too late now, but try to consider OD for Guards and SFs more. Your new PG and SF are frankly hurting you on the defensive side of the ball with such low OD skills.
