I did give specific orders, Florian Cellier as only PG and for the 3 spots and i can't give orders on how to deal with injury or player with 6 fouls.

I can understand if you are in a close game that the coach will do everything to win. But when i'm up by 40 points he has to follow my orders and never put starter in the wrong position to put a sub in priority.

You can by listing subs :)

I was only saying it's not a bug and working as intended ;)

Yeah but if you list subs it's for the all game not only for injuries or fouls so no you can't give orders for that.
Lineup is very limited, it's intended and i get that but the coach has to be logical and smart. He should be able to adapt the rotation in any case and not be in a robotical way.

In a scrimmage with +40 he shouldn't change the starters because he wants to have the best lineup especially when you give him specific orders.

The coach has to be smarter because the game asks all managers to be very precise in the way they handle everything so the tools we have must allow that kind of management.

This thread seemed appropriate for an issue I had in my last game that was related to substitutions. My substitutions were set to Strictly Follow Depth Chart. I ran a 10 player rotation with the 5 backups/reserve slots set to their corresponding player with no cross assignments.

Everything seemed fine until the 4th when my starters never came back into the game. Not for one minute in entire quarter did they make step onto the court. I've never seen that before. I had no injuries and no other strange circumstances. We were up by over 20 but I didn't think that would matter if I set to Strictly Follow. It wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game except for perhaps a larger margin of victory but it did flub my minutes and take down the averages of my starters. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Every time you lead by 20 in the 4-th quarter, your Coach subs out the starters to protect them from injuries. The blowout rule goes into effect, nomatter what orders you set for coach, he will still protect the starters. If you want your players to play 48 minutes, you have to set 5-9 players for the game (depending on the number of players you want to get 48 minutes for). With let them play, decent stamina and setting subs at reserve spot, might net you 36 mins before the blowout rule comes into effect.
