LOL I think it's "deliberately meaningless index", not "desperately" xD

The higher DMI, the more skillful the player, but it fluctuates like there is no tomorrow, especially with the increase or the decrease in GS.

I think the most useful way to track DMI in regards to training is to compare only those values when GS is at 9. In the absence of training or stamina drops, DMI at 9 GS is the same.

I don't have terribly many points to make strong conclusions, other than adding a week of single position OD raises DMI at GS 9 by about 4000 (at least for lowish OD levels, around average to proficient/prominent).

Any lower GS and you'll see that there is a very wide effect of GS sublevel on DMI. So usually I use DMI as a way to estimate how well the player will perform relative to his best. I'm not sure it's useful as a way to compare two different players, especially if their skill point distributions are very different.

I've pretty much ignored it completely since the first 2-3 weeks I was on this site.

It's called deliberately meaningless statistic for a reason. There are no hidden meanings in that title. ;)

Is that really true about 9GS? So if a player with 9GS has his DMI increase by 200, there had to be a very small amount of training?

I've had a few players that were at 9GS for multiple weeks have their DMI go up & down very slightly. (Talking about couple hundred point swings only though). So that would mean it had to be something like this: 1 minute of training by accident (increase), then a slight stamina drop (decrease), then another 30 seconds of training by accident (increase)?

When I've had guys that were definitely never trained, their DMI at 9 GS remained constant, other than a 100 point reduction every two weeks that I would guess is due to a constant rate of stamina reduction (for guys in their mid 20s). I have data for this covering this season and most of last season.

If you are seeing increases, I can only believe it's due to training, where the player got some of the appropriate minutes.

Just to make sure, strong GS can be anything between 8 and 8.99.., while proficient GS is always exactly 9.0 ?
