So if this has to disappear, it would be good as option in Preferences.

That works too, and prob the best choice.

Sorry for the crap player spam Coco...i suggested this more for the buddies/league-mates then myself.

Thanks for the fast answer. I think an alternate solution would be to be able to scroll back through the league news so that you can see the things that are actually important. This is especially important if you haven't been on for a few days and you can easily miss some "big news". It is even possible for teams to "hide" a major purchase or sale by just buying a pile of crappy guys straight after.

what about ignoring "news" like this?

9/28/2011 - Da Fat Boy Slim has contracted an expansion of The Very Big Arena.

The arena is currently undergoing expansion, to add:

Bleachers: 2
Lower Tier: 0
Courtside Seats: 0
Luxury Boxes: 0
The expansion will be complete in approximately 6 days
.

so someone told the janitor to add 2 plastic chairs in the nosebleed section - big news

This way the waterboys don't have to stand up during the whole game!

My headlines are half full of 1k and 2k purchases of scrub fillers, 4 of them are mine who I will fire on Fri and repeat the process again next Wednesday.

Can <10k players be ignored from the headlines?

Better idea: Require all transfers to stay with team for 7 days before being fired. Problem solved!

Yes! That's the easiest fix and would also make sense.

It would be a fantastic change just for that reason. Teams would have to pay the salaries of their scrubs each week so there would be no incentive to hire and fire new ones each week. Instead the price of $1,000 salary players would go through the roof as everyone wanted a cheap scrimmage dummy to keep on their team forever. Would be funny seeing people bid up for the worst players in the game.
