Could it also be that he was playing in a 3-2 zone against Outside ISO and a good outside team? So he had to anchor the middle therefore he as playing against maybe three players at times underneath.

Even without injuries, I doubt his gameshape will get any better if you keep trying to play him so many minutes per week. But he is foul prone, looking at his stats from previous seasons. If fouls can carry over to the next game, he'd be fouling out every other game...

I don't know if you have trainees you want to play full minutes, but all I can think of to help you is:

1. set your foul trouble option to "Sit them" and

2. try decrease the pace of your offense -- less posessions, the less he has to foul.

It could be, but your opponent had "inept" inside scoring, so it doesn't suggest such a big threat on the inside. I was just looking at his overall boxscore numbers and he has almost 4 fouls per 40 minutes, which is dangerous territory. Have you considered buying a cheap backup? You seem to be winning your matchups quite easily, so having this backup eat a few minutes could allow you to have your center in less foul trouble and keep him in better shape in the long run. It's just a suggestion, don't take it as me saying how you should run your team

What's his stamina level?

Also, why are you trying to play him 48 mpg against teams that you are beating by 30-40 points? Manage his minutes using subs and/or using him as a backup so that his gameshape is strong-proficient and he's going to be a considerably stronger player than he is right now with average gameshape. This will likely solve the fouling out issue too.

A different trainer doesn't change a player's performance.

Selling and buying new players doesn't solve your game shape problems if you continue with poor minutes management.

If he has atrocious outside defence and he gets pulled out to the perimeter quite a bit he will be prone to foul there. The stamina comments are also good ideas. Otherwise I would chalk this up to an overly aggressive player. Does he take a lot of FTs? If he gets to the line a lot this can also be a sign of a player with a high "agression" stat

Actually his game shape increased to respectable. I'm kinda strapped money wise I have 52k but will lose most of it to pay my bills. BTW: The reason I can beat teams by 30-40 teams is because of him playing 48 minutes. I actually had pretty good game shape until injuries and close games. Everyone except one back-up is respectable or better. I consider that pretty good true at one point they were between strong and proficient but for now I think respectable-strong is pretty good for a starting line-up.

My salary can only support 5 starting players, 2 back-ups and 2 trianees. So I usually don't have a back-up for my center. This off-season when I sell a trianee I should have a back-up then.

The trainer only influences weekly training. Other than that he has no influence in how players perform in games

It doesn't even matter on the tactics during the match, mainly on trainning. The only exception is when they have some skill regarding age or conditioning, but zero influence on any other aspect.-
