i am not sure, but at least some mail notifications exist. You find them under the mobile setting in the preferences, even when i am not sure if you get more then the game results(and scores at quarters).

no idea didn't checked it, and never used it but i was announced as a sms feature and then implemented as mail only(at least for europe). Thats why the email feature is less known.
