The counterargument is: how many people need a 269k center, who don't already have one?

(I could well have stopped the question before the comma, but I appreciate that teams in the B3 who are going all out to win might be able to justify such a player at such a salary).

Market for players like him is very small. Matches between conferences ended this week so nobody else needs him to win one important match, which is neccessary to gain HCA in top division final. And therefore price dropped.
However - he did his job. And Your major opponent, who bought the best player in BB (MVP and the best scorer of World CUP in season 18, MVP and the best scorer of final match in World Cup in season 16), probably will waste more money.

I didn't talk about his salary, it doesn't matter. Probably he hasn't the best ratio quality/wage in BB, but it is for sure different thing than the best player (in fact I think the best ratio belongs to 18 or 19yo player, or maybe even to 45yo grandpa who hass all skills = 1 and wage = $ 500, and who is too weak to play against Lucky Fan). Wisniewski is the best because he won the most important trophies in BB and for example he is only player in whole BB, who was the best scorer for winning team in final matches of two consecutive World Championships. And now he is in his "prime time" (32 is the best age in BB).

But we shouldn't make offtopic.

In a few seasons you will have to pay the "buyer" some money to get rid of such a player.

Crooked salary formula ruins a lot...

I think we will see less and less players like these and consenquentially, the price will go up a bit (but probably not by much). I guess we will see centers with a bit lower inside skills and higher secondaries. This one though has pretty nice secondaries too.

It doesn't matter, in NBA we had lockout because 22 of 30 teams were like farm in last season (their finances were under zero because of too expensive players - the same situation as in BB). However nobody says that NBA players aren't the best on the world only because budgets of their teams aren't balanced.

Meanwhile I don't know how You can compare salary to quality of player... And why You started to talk about economy in BB when I said who is the best player in BB...
Conclusion:
- Wisniewski probably is not the most cost effective player in BB.
- Wisniewski for sure is currently the best player in BB.

Still offtopic.
However I see one analogy - most of players in NBA cost $ 0 when they change team. New club pays only salaries for new player and nothing for old club. So maybe we have the same course in BB.
