just fire the PF and try training the guards.
i agree that they have low potential but have decent starting skills.moreover they would be helpful for you in lower divisions.apart from that u would get a feel of training players and then u can train higher potential players more effectively.
as a start start by training them in OD till both reach proficient

Thats not good advice , the guy shouldnt be wastign his oxygen training these players , the guy is interested enough in the training to be able to post on these forums about it , im sure figuring out how to buy a 50k player allstar/pallstar with better starting skills than these trainees wont be any harder.

but i dont think that the guards have poor skills.i mean they have pretty good OD and JS.so they would be good experimental trainees.moreover they are 19 and have low potential so i dont think that they will fetch anything over a few bucks but if he gives then some training then they might sell for more and they would help him win the league as well.
but then everyone has his/her own viewpoint.
