Must've been a very high sublevel of 11. I've heard of cases like this before, and as someone else pointed out, you will probably see a drop in JS soon since his JS now is on a very low sublevel of 12 and with his age it will be slowly decreasing.

Had something similar with my 35 yo player Nick. He got an up in inside shot (just a while after it dropped). Since then it's been like 10 weeks. He dropped in Rebounds twice but his IS still didn't.
