Thanks for the advice! I was trying to think outside the box and it worked, as I found the answer.

Froget was taking so many shots because the defending player, Vincent Debruyne, is foul-prone. He commits 3.1 fouls per 36.1 minutes, which is quite a lot, fouled out twice this season and finished games with 4 or 5 fouls on several occasions. So GE purposely fed Froget with the ball so Debruyne could fould out. I really didn't see that coming, though I could think Navršnik with IS 16 could foul out Rosenthal with ID 8, but to be honest, Debruyne was a much scarier interior presence than Rosenthal and GE chose right.

Thanks again!

Navršnik took 9 shots, Froget took 13.

I have three possible explanations on why Froget took much more shots than Navršnik despite having a much worse matchup:

Froget had Proficient GS and Navršnik Strong
Froget's defender fouled him a lot, so maybe GE wanted to continue this trend until Froget's defender would foul out because he was a better inside player than Navršnik's PF
GE feared Navršnik's defender will exploit his high OD to force Navršnik to turn the ball over

overall the difference is not that big, that it can just be a random appearance. That froget was jsut a bit more lucky, in getting chanches. Since the chanches they took was on a similiar level.

Fouling also reduce the defence of the player, i think the ge is didn't look to let people foul out.

Also in my expereince ID at least alone don't make a big difference

Next game ((46511352)): Navršnik takes a lot more shots than the C (as he should) and they both have great matchups (they are both guarded by scrubs).

Navrisk scrub whas better, his shot was way better then the rest.

I don't know what happened when you copied your number, but it reads: "Narvšnik took 9 shots, Froget took 17" and not 13. That's almost twice as much.

i though i use the number of your linked game + you wrote 13 yourself later so i believed in a typo on your side which i corrected to put it in a meaningful context.

Yes, it was 13 shots, but four of these were fouled, so 17 total. Maybe I should write "shot attempts".
