To be honest, I would train his guard skills first. Trust me, from personal experience and experiences of other managers, it is better to train secondaries if you are planning to train them anyway. His OD is the only thing you need to worry about for now. I know a user who has a 6'8" and 6'10" big who he started training OD from when they were first drafted. As of right now, their OD is at proficient or prominent. If he were to sell them, he would make a lot more profit than if he had left them with their bad skills. But it is your decision.

Only thing I dislike about him for your situation is his starting age was 19.

Train his OD up. Even if he doesn't ever fit your team as the SF you want. if you get that OD up to 10+ you can re-sell this guy for a pretty penny.

make him a SF (who can also play PF in outside tactics), his height and IS are not optimal for a PF in LI

train his OD up to 12 and passing to 10 in the first season

then continue with JS and 1on1 training until he has something like JS: 12, JR: 9, Handling/driving: 12

at this point your guard should be already a good player.

train IS and ID up to at least 10.

finish with (1week)rebound/(2weeks)1on1

I would get his OD up to proficient, then the same thing with PA so that his defense and passing will make him serviceable. After that, I would get his IS to at least average. From there, you have different training routes you can choose from.

You suggest training his OD from 2 to 12 and his PA from 6 to 10 all in the first season? Impossible!

He was talking to RayRay, so its from 6-12 an 7-10, total of 9 pops, seems possible.

Ah my bad I guess I did not pay close enough attention. OD to 11 and PA 9 is much more possible. OD 12 and PA 9 if sub levels are close already.

Thanks all of you.
I bought a young guard to train OD and PA with him.

I have read trainning analysis, it seems OD take long time to train.
So 1 position trainning is a must? (Level 5 trainner)
