Oho, long memories round these parts.

Though I'll admit, Season 14 and the glory of the Rainey/Trickle pairing does seem like just yesterday.

Last Sunday I went to the mall to go visit Santa. I waited in line for an hour, but it was finally my turn. I sat on his lap, and told him that all I wanted for Christmas was for Canadian NT player Philip Collin to die. Or to get a bicycle. Either one was fine. Unfortunately, Santa told me that I had been naughty, and I needed to provide a special deed for either of these to happen. Santa told me that I had to go through every US NT and U21 game to ever be played and find out the highest single game totals for a wide variety of stats. If I did this, then he would provide one of my wishes for me. I got on it. I spent all Sunday night and Monday morning finding the stats, and I posted them on the offsite about an hour before the game.

Now, I had to wait to see if Philip Collin would die or if I would get a bicycle so I could ride to the arena and kill Philip Collin. I waited for a few minutes, but then I fell asleep due to staying awake all night finding stats. I woke up after the game, and I discovered a bicycle had been delivered to my house. It was too late now, so I didn't bother killing Philip Collin. I logged onto BB and saw the final score. I am sorry that I failed your plan Coco. Take your anger out on Sleet or someone unimportant like that.

After the US led for most of the game, Canada came back in the fourth quarter to go up by 2, until a David Ferland buzzer beating layup sent it to overtime. The US led for most of the overtime as well, but then Canada tied it with 15 seconds left. Dexter Dennison shot a three with 3 seconds left, missed it, and then Canada's Momar Maja somehow got fouled on a dunk at the buzzer without a timeout. Freakin ninjas. Maja made both free throws and Canada won 101-99. Len Nielsen led the US with 24 points and 8 rebounds. That bastard Philip Collin led Canada with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Tune in next week to see us play Czech Republic at 1:30 ET.
