Salary
5 balls = $4,000 and higher
4 balls = $3,000 - $4,000
3 balls = $2,300 - $3,000
2 balls = $1,900 - $2,300
1 ball = $1,900 and lower

Potential
5 balls = 10 - 12 (MVP - All-time Great)
4 balls = 8 - 9 (Perennial Allstar - Superstar)
3 balls = 5 - 7 (Starter - Allstar)
2 balls = 3 - 4 (Role Player - 6th Man)
1 ball = 1 - 2 (Announcer - Role Player)

last season update made salarys lower for draftees but generally u get idea how it works

Thanks! How do you view the separate Grade Rating? As a subset of Potential or Salary? In other words, likely to be a more trainable player, with a higher level of achievable training (Potential), or just likely to be a better prospect, demanding a higher salary (Salary)?

As was said earlier, the grade rating is simply a more detailed breakdown of the initial salary to expect. It has nothing to do with the draftee's potential.
