Everything Big Dogs said was correct, except for #3, I believe you were asking if scrimmages count towards minutes, and yes they do.

Just to add on. The cup games count towards minutes as well. So these first couple of weeks when you are in the cup is when you will have the hardest time managing minutes due to play 3 games a week rather than 2.
