I definitely wouldn't drop this guy, but I think he shouldn't be your only trainee. You'll want to add at least one other trainee, hopefully one with a bit higher potential

Also, with this guy's fairly low potential, you'll want to be very careful how you design his training, so you don't accidentally reach his cap before his skill build is something you like.

One good thing about this guy is that he could go with any other trainee. Want to train a guard? Well, this guy could use some OD and JS.
Want to train a big? Well, this guy's guard skills are good enough, and you could just pound away at IS/ID/RB, and he'd be a useful player for a long time.

I guess you talk about this player (29807064)

If I were you, then ...
1. Train Bahamas players (32424721) , (32424743) , (31905715) , (31905724) (I like homegrown players)
2. Choose who to train and what position (PG or C)
3. Get a level 4~5 trainers
4. For PG, choose three out of those four Bahamas players, preferably shorter guys, OD for two seasons, 1on1 for a season and passing for a season. They should become a decent PG in 4 seasons.
5. For C/PF, choose three out of those four Bahamas players, preferably big men, ID, Reb, IS and 1on1 for a few seasons.
6. Good luck
