I think it is quite likely that the Utopian leagues will more active as the players are a self selecting (and paying) group.

Well we're about to start inter-conference play.. And definitely pretty tough to make a prediction as to seedings and who'll win it all thus far

I've been having a lack of interest lately. Today I forgot to set a lineup for not the first time, and I don't even have a reasonable default. I'm just hoping I keep enough interest to get my trainees moving for a while, and I'll see if I get interested again. It wouldn't be the first time I didn't pay much attention for a few seasons.

Yea it looks like the Great 8 could be the stronger conference this year. Kinda stacked if you asked me.
My GS is down and my best player is still injured for 2 weeks so we'll see how well my team performs in a few weeks.

Agree ... Euro step floater is the team to beat. They have been putting up very impressive game ratings. Personally, I'm flip-flopping on what strategy to take. Run to the top the hill as fast as I can (and put no or less effort into training) or take my time with training & arena buildup. Up to now, I've been doing mostly training and building up arena but all of these posts about promotion rules kind of making me want to promote now. :) What you all think?

your in good shape in the standings, so i guess you can continue to balance arena build up, training and win now attitude

My worry about the take it-it-all approach is that I'll end up with nothing ... not promoting and not very well trained trainees. To guarantee a promotion spot is to get to finals and that would mean beating Euro Step floater on the road ... an uphill battle at the moment. With my luck, I will end up trying & fail miserably ... and lose some $$$ in the process.

What about you, abu? What is you plan for your team? I thought for sure you were taking the all-in approach (a guess from your purchases) but I see that you're training as well.

My approach is to win now, and train. I have 3 really good SF trainees that'll be the catalyst to success for my team. I'm hoping anyway.
I acquired an advanced trainer for my trainees and I believe he'll serve his purpose well enough. If I can promote, take the promotion money and expand arena at that point. I believe a large arena is imperative to success in the higher leagues so I'm really hoping I can balance the three points to winning later on with the increased revenue of the higher leagues.

My main goal is to win now and I'm hoping with the pieces I've put together I can do that.

A very sound plan and you're executing it well .. great job! A comment on the arena, I found it to be most effective to have the arena built up first before the promotion. This way you maximize the attendance boost. It might not matter much at the level we're at though. I was doing exactly what you said here up to DII when I found that it wasn't good enough. I was putting all of my money into my arena and I couldn't field a team good enough to compete. My second trip up to DII was much better (and easier) because by then my focus was just to promote to the next level.
