From the game manual: http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/rules.aspx?nav=Econ...

" So, if in a given week your player played in a national team game, fans from around the country will buy their jersey, typically in a quantity proportional to their salary. National team jersey sales will vary depending on the strength of the national team, but players playing in their domestic league tend to sell considerably more national team merchandise."

So yes, strength of the national team does make a difference.

Pretty true. Last season i had bulgaria nation team member who was playing constantly at starting five as sg but salary was 58k. My mechandise even dropped from 57k to 54-55k, because i sat down my homegrown player of 30k salary because of him. So i assume low salary and weak NT player gives very very few mechandize while starting ur own strong national teams player gives roughly 10-15 percent. depending on national team strenght.
