Full disclosure, I don't see day trading as a serious problem, perhaps I'm naïve in terms of the impact of day trading on BuzzerBeater. None the less, I understand why it is troubling for people.

you could put a longer hold requirement on players. Like you have to hold a player for at least a month
I'm okay with a longer hold requirement, but a month seem excessive. My concern with the 1 month wait is that it will to hurt legitimate quick purchases and sells. For instance, if a player is picked up for a failed cup run that fails or a fill-in during injuries or just a player that doesn't fit as well as hoped.

I've think that players that were purchased less than half a season ago should only be able to be listed at $1000
Same concern regarding legitimate purchase and sells. I've bought players for a team needs reason then within one season I've put the player on the market for the price I purchased I payed or the price I paid plus tax cost, because I feel like I need to break even to justify selling. I don't think that is nefarious behavior.

I think somewhere I posted a possible scale where it would ramp up the maximum listing price somewhat, but I don't remember what thread it's in and I suppose it really doesn't matter. I think definitely within four weeks you shouldn't be able to ever list the player above 1k. I think after a season you've had the player long enough and could have made a significant enough change in the player via training that allowing him to be listed at a profitable price makes sense. The interim timeframe would be where a reasonable solution that didn't overly penalize legitimate users but didn't allow people to use noobfleecing to finance their teams would need to be found.

Good ideas over here.

But I would choose a different path:
I believe that right now, there's a floor you can't go under when it comes to the % you get when you sell a player. (I don't know, never sold enough players to get under 80% myself) Well, it shouldn't be the case. The % you get should continue to decrease until reaching 0% if you keep selling players.

I don't agree with the idea of limiting day trading. It already has enough limitations. I have played this game for nearly 20 seasons before quitting and now have returned. I know how the day trading conditions have changed during these seasons.

It was really easy to do it at the beginning of BB. But season by season it became more difficult. I remember that I got only %58 or 64 of the selling price. It is a funny amount.Lets suppose I buy a player for 200 k. That means I should sell him at least 340-350 just to make 10k profit That is enough to limit day trading.

Also now, A decrease happens in the game shape when you buy a player. That also limits it in a way.

It wasn't a big problem until this season I guess. Nowadays we see a lot of day traders, including me, because there are nearly 1200-1300 new teams in utopia, which can have %80 of the sale. So next season there won't be so many teams who can make profit from day trading. do not worry

agree with phat panda most especially on his 3rd point. i got a player who i think will give me the inside dominance but all he did was rebound and not score enough. so i sold him for a loss just to free up his salary from my weekly payroll .
