Well, I agree the training is fair and needs some experience to be a good trainer in this game.
But I don't think the way players get trained is real. I mean, a guard with no inside skills and fenomenal jumpshot/range gets payed twice the guy is super balanced and with much more total skill points?? Or a Center with 0 outside skills and Stupendus Inside skills...
I think that makes no sense, this should be changed, but then people would get their train facilitated, playing Centers only at center and giving them only inside training and the same to guards.
Thats why I think training should allow centers to train pressure or pass, you would still have positions to train tho. Players would still need 48 minutes obviously..

I just don't think it makes sense that I can't train my MVP player as a 3pt Shooter.....because salary gets too high! That change on the training would only be a consequence..

Well, thanks a lot for your post, like I didn't know that. I play since season 9 soo...
Imagine this example and forget the centers please. I want a player with 18 JS, 16 JR and 17 OD, and the rest of the skills I don't care. Is it possible to have it for less than 70k salary?
This player I'm asking as about 60 total skill points. SF's with 70k have much more than 80 total skill points...
Just think thats not real, and to make it real you probably would need to change the training too.

i just think its weird, if one player needs to learn OD and another needs passing, a coach can teach each player that skill he doesnt say, oh well player A needs this skill so its the only skill i can teach this week

I know you can't...and I hate that because I would really like to have a great 3pt Shooter on my team, and the best I will get for my SG trainee is about 18JS and 13 JR, becauseI was forced to train his inside skills earlier to make his salary ok..
I just think at the end, all players will look the same!

Being able to train every player individually would make the game WAY too easy. Think about it like this; where's the fun in something that doesn't require a bit of skill, decision-making, and strategy? Would you want to play monopoly if you could pick where on the board you landed and what numbers you rolled?

respectfully, i disagree, you cant say something makes the game easy so you cant take it out, its supposed to be a basket ball game, i could make up an arbtrary rule that makes things hard again, how about all center have to take 5 three pointers a game, that would make the game harder but no one will want it because it makes no sense, you can add things to make the game harder like more hiddens and more tactics and changed salary system so you could make specific players (compared to all of these all around centers everyone builds), team captain and/or added team chemistry, then it will be hard again, plus that way you have to work like actual basket ball coaches/managers not this weird system that is made for the only reason of making this game harder, a game shouldnt be hard just to be hard, there should be a reason its hard, imagine every player new to your team reduces your team chemistry or you can hide the potential of a player, all of that makes the player need to think about his strategy and makes sense but a coach only being able to teach one skill a week makes no sense

It's not so much that it's hard or easy, it's that the training is the way it is so that you have to make meaningful choices. If everybody could train every player each week, while it'd be a more realistic simulation, there's no more choice involved - you train everyone, you don't have to sacrifice anything to do so. As it stands now, you have to balance training vs. competitiveness, which makes for a better game, albeit not a better pure simulation.
