I am doing that.
I just ask because of the national team member players ( or other really strong players, for example has a legend potential and just 26 years old and almost can be an nt team member). Are they being trained after 26 years old? How they develope?
But yeah, my question is just for a few member, who has national team member players or almost nt team member player.

I would not train 27 + players,because it's very slow.
The only reason to do that if you have players for NT,or if you train 2 positions that the older players get some training,but to train them as your main trainee:) is a waste of time and money for the trainer you have...

Ahhh for NT players ,well its hard to say how many weeks ,but you can check this out ,and you can calculate how many weeks it will take....http://training.bb-usa.net

According to Rhyminsimon's training simulator, these are the % of effective training for ages until 32. You see training 26yo's only receive a 3rd of the training, so every pop will take 3 times as long. I hope this helps.

If you really like that player, then go for it.

I have a 27 years old MVP potential, I still keep training him with other young guys (2-position training, 5 young players + a 27 yo trainee), it's your opinion to say whether it is a waste or not.

It's just a game, feel free to do it if you want.
