I think that players can drop his skills at different speeds.
But it is random.
Maybe your Role Player
will drop 4 skills at 35 but,
your ATG will drop 7.
Maybe youe your Allstar will drop only 2.

I have had many 33 year olds on my team and I got one drop out of all of them combined(lucky).
I had a 37 year old for 5 weeks, he got 3 drops.

So as you get older you drop more and more.

I had two 33 year olds last season. One of them experience 4 drops for the season, while the other only had one, IIRC.

The one with 4 drops was a rotational player, while the other was a starter.

I have noticed with my players that, on average, a players strengths will not drop as fast as areas that they are already weaker in and/or their non primary skills. In other words, I don't think it works like the elastic effect. Your players strong suits will be more resilient to age and their weaker areas more vulnerable.

Hmm. I've noticed the exact opposite to be true for me in the past, it led me to believe that the reverse elastic effect does exist.
