Last week I sold a player. He was one of my trainees. I think you would call him an unconventional player.

My target for him was (not the skills he have now):

JS max. 8 - JR any
OD 18 - HA 15
DR max. 8 - PA 16
IS max. 5 - ID 18
RB 18 - SB 18

The thing about him is, that he can defend every position. He would be a strong SG for inside tactics because of his handling and passing. And in LI you want your PF, C and SF to score most of the time. The high difference in passing and shooting would benefit his passing/supporting even more.
For outside tactics, he would be an excellent passing C. High defense and RB skills will stop almost everyone inside the paint.
In the end this guy is an allround defender. He has no clear position what makes him valueable.

hehehe.
OD, ID and SB is a hell of training. It took me 7 seasons to reach this stupid triple mark. I think with a lv 7 coach I could save 1,5 ups/season.
Currently it takes me 3 weeks per up in passing with a lv 4 coach. Same goes for RB.

But with a lv 7 coach, three trainees (196-201 cm) and a little luck (no injuries and no foul gen) it could be done.

@Westri: I wont' buy any players without SB anymore. SB 8 is the absolute minimum. Even for guards.

Do you think that's achievable with 7/1/7 7/1/7 1/7/7/7? Especially the 15HA+8DR (need to train HA instead of 1v1 guards) and 18OD+18ID. RB at 18 and PA at 16 seem very high too. All in all this is a 125 TSP with 66 in outside skills and 59 inside: it seems a bit unrealistic and even your own player (whom I saw on the TL) wasn't close to this final build (he had high OD ID and SB but not 18 in any of them, plus PA and RB were not close if memory serves me right).

fair enough, I doubt the OP meant to include in the discussion impossible builds and I just wanted to clarify whether that 125+ build is a realistic exercise or not.

Well that's fewer skills :) and a more reasonable aim! That's a very interesting build for a big man. I think you could drop some OD and perhaps some PA and go for 18ID-18SB and 16-17RB. It would be a very nice an unconventional big man ;)
