Just train him in whatever Frederick Warren needs. Warren should be your top priority to get him to where you want him, and this star potential player should just tag along for the ride, unless you invest in another player with more potential.

Thanks, Warren is still #1 priority, working inside shot this year for a more complete and balanced offensive player. Not sure how many more years I'll be pumping him up, alot depends on the financials of being between a 3rd and 4th division team.

What about my guy? He is 19, 6'5" and has star potential.

Jump Shot: strong Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: average
Driving: respectable Passing: inept
Inside Shot: strong Inside Def.: awful
Rebounding: strong Shot Blocking: awful
Stamina: strong Free Throw: awful

I plan to just train him in outside defence and passing until he caps (although I am training 1 on 1 this week.) What level will he be able to get to before he caps?

He has a glaring hole at inside defense, I'd try to get that to at least respectable first, but someone more experienced might tell you different I've never built a small forward yet.

I was thinking of training him as a PG. I guess his potential is too low to be an effective SF at a high level (which is obviously my aim.) So if I can just blast his OD and passing for a couple of seasons I think he'd be at a level where he can be a useful backup who is a defensive specialist with an eye for a pass, even if he doesn't have much else.

His PA is low but his IS is high, I would train him as a SG

Ideally, I would build him to something like this

9/10
12/10
11/9
10/10
9/10

100 skills round :)

Since he's starting at 62 skills, I don't think it's too far fetched.

You can probably find a better prospect to spend time training though..
