What happens when a guy gets old? I have a dude who is turning 39, so I am worried he'll retire.
My 19 year old is already good enough to start in my frontcourt, and once I train him up, he's gonna be a beast.
The MVP 18 year old is 6'1" so he has to be a PG, but all my other main trainees are forwards, so I don't know if I wanna keep him.

players dont retire unless they're fired

39 year olds will just drop in skills fast.

Cool, I might just keep him on the roster in the future as an inspirational leader who never plays except in scrimmages.

i think you could get a solid 300k or more on him, since he's 18 and mvp potential

i dunno his start skills, but if they're half decent he could go for as much as 500k- to a mil

so try selling him imo, but on the lower end, if he's worth it his price will go up fast. There will be a lot of people looking for draftees (especially americans looking for american draftees)

You're probably right, I think I'll list him after I see how he plays in the scrimmage.

Regardless, sell him for as much $ as possible. None of us have the capital or training to do an MVP potential justice. The MVP rating extends the soft caps into the next several seasons, but if you want to train for 2-3 seasons even up to 20-30k salary you can get by with lower potential.

You can use the 3-500k to turn into a new stadium, 3-5 starting caliber players, or enough buffer $ to buy lots and lots of trainees.

If you want a SF-PF trainee, I have an 18 yo 6'8 guy I drafted with 7s for both shooting skills.

I kept 35964855 benedict to train with Moreno, Marsh, Hardy because of the inside skills. Fear our forwards this season! or something idk

you definitely know your stuff getbuckets.

haha, I dont think they can rival Roata/Simpson yet.

ugh, having to deal with these salaries. I'll still be in positives and making cash, but a long cup run would help me a lot.

Roata just went from 22k to 38k salary, simpson had a smaller 14k to 18k since i limited his training to try to stretch him to the limit, train more of the skills that wont affect his cap room as much, like passing and/or jump shot. Which is a huge advantage on a bigman, since most lack those type of skills. And Roata, he's just gonna bully the basket haha.

plus with my other 30k and 10k additions at the end of the last season. Gonna be tight.

POWER RANKINGS will be done sometime between now and sunday.

Much more knowledgeable people than I have worked out a lot of game engine mechanics on the forums....

Basically, potential isn't going to matter unless you pour every available resource into training that player for at least 3 seasons, which is a long time in real time to do the same grind.

A couple hundred thousand, well invested on below-market players will keep the Condors out of another relegation series.

This is hilarious. I was just thinking to myself how much of a drag it is waiting to sell players, this is great.
