I think that increasing the efficiency of JR would be a better solution than decreasing its price.


That's what's up. In addition to that, the cap hit of JR is gigantic and thus any investment in JR is lost money, especially as this skill seems to have no significant impact on shooting percentages.

Yes yes yes yes. I agree with this soooooo much.

But as to the comment about it not helping shooting percentages - that's not true. The problem is that OD is just so high on so many players that JR needs to be at a level that's say hard to find in today's market if it's going to start having an impact offensively.

seems like it only affects three-point shooting so if you build a neutral/inside team JR is the first thing I would punt except maybe one guy so you could run a patient

You'll probably see the same % with a 18/7 or a 15/15 player. Latter will cost double the money.

And they'll both shoot a lower percentage from 3 than the PF with an 11/8.

I'll do it for you. Cap is on ATG potential.

18/7/10/10/10/10 10/10/10/10 8/10= 48k (SF formula) 75% cap
15/15/10/10/10/10 10/10/10/10 8/10=55k (SF formula) 79% cap

18/7/18/15/15/10 7/7/4/4 8/10 = 43k (SG formula) 75% cap
15/15/18/15/15/10 7/7/4/4 8/10 = 82k (SG formula) 84% cap

Almost double.

Raising the 2nd example to 14 passing changes it to PG.

18/7/18/15/15/14 7/7/4/4 8/10 = 73k (PG formula) 81% cap
15/15/18/15/15/14 7/7/4/4 8/10 = 92k (PG formula) 86% cap

It really shows how the SG formula is a huge bitch.
It also shows how JR eats cap under the SG formula.

Which shows Knecht is correct under the SG formula. Foot, in mouth.
