Hi Perpete!

You don't know how it would be so easier for me to answer you in french....

For the first point, I can only give you reason. But there are also Barcelona, Bayern Munchen ... but you're right, in football, teams are very international indeed. -> BUT THIS IS FOOTBALL!
That's not because they are 22 on a field that we are going to copy them !

I thought it was less so in basketball. But Barcelona is a bad exemple... they don't have many Spanish players in their roster.

I m sure that local players are more in basketball teams than in football.

In France (Pro A), clubs have the right to sign only five foreign players (non-locally trained players). I thought that rule was more or less widespread in Europe but no. Personally I find it a pity. Croatian, Serbian... some countries in Europe don't have a lot of foreign players in their squads too, but this is not a truth to all the world's countries.

Anyway, whether City, Inter, Real ... reassures me there is still 1 or 2 English, Italian, Spanish players in their teams ?! :)

For the second point, I also join you in your answer. The idea is to allow micro-nations a chance to pick a "steal".
This is not forbidden for a "strong" NT to block a player coveted by a "weak" nation by selecting him in the present moment, thinking of the future.
Let's say it can be the management over the medium term; block a spot today for a player who does not have the NT level, or wait a few years and take the risk that another NT recovers him.... I think it could be fun! (but maybe I'm alone)

Anyway, what are the chances of those ideas to be done in the game? 0.1%!

...In Korea or Bolivia, the pool quality is a lot worse...

Once again Perpete you're 100% right. In fine, this is my conclusion, this is where BB did a mistake, and should have let people get the second team option in the country they wanted to (a lot of them should have chosen micro-nations I guess) insted of creating utopian league!
Micro-nations problem would maybe fixed or won't be worser than today at least.

I'm definitely for part of this suggestion.

As has been said the cap on foreign players is not viable for small countries... also I could just buy 10 American scrubs and then do whatever I wanted with the rest of my roster.

BUT I have had a similar interview with my player Paul Georg Isar. He is German and is one of the only stars of my team who is not an American citizen. He has received a lot of training from my club's staff and has lived in America for two years now. He is loved by our team and by our fans, however for some reason they don't buy as many of his jerseys and other merchandise because he is German and my fans think Georg should be spelled George.

This has become such a problem that there is a possibility of him being replaced as soon as an American with his build (a very unique build) can be found. If, in say, three more years of living in America under my same clubs jurisdiction he was able to acuire dual citizenship DEPENDANT ON STAYING WITH MY CLUB, I think he would feel a lot better as would our management staff. Also it would make my fans look less judgemental haha!

This would also encourage mine and other teams to keep players long term, something the Bbs always envisioned for BB.
