Hey Zeus, I thought I may as well make this public rather than a PM (though I don't know why, it's likely a messy mix of thoughts - standard)

I think the most important NT thing might be the "overall picture" stuff. Like, the current status of the squad, players coming through - when they'll be ready for the NT / if they'll only be useful if trained a certain way / how they'll be most useful considering the rest of the squad, etc.
I'm sure Woody had a good overview of this stuff and has passed it on and it's not something that needs more than one person to look at I guess, but maybe some of it requires input (or output, if it's messaging other managers)? Even then it depends if people actually want advice on how to train their own players for the NT over their own teams.
I think I just want an active community and everyone updating each other about their English players training pops, that's kind've exciting? (Gibney who I have on my Utopia team is 19 and double popped to 74tsp last week! blahblah)

I say it's important, but it's also interesting for people to know I think? The problem's being 1/ making things public on the forum is obviously an issue as they're public, and 2/ Even domestically some people won't want other teams knowing their players stats I guess (see: Elmacca's argument about the NT manager not being an EBBL one ideally).
I'd be happy to share my young guys stats and co-operate/co-ordinate with others for the u21s, but I can see why others wouldn't for the senior NT.

I think we need something like the shortlived offsite forum a few seasons ago, which I liked, but maybe we just don't have enough activity to keep one (or something similar) going (how can we get more activity? 180 managers, I'd have thought we should be able to get at least 20 active / interested?). Spose we'd need to decide what the best format for this is.
I set up a discord channel yesterday which is essentially just a 24/7 BBChat thing (because we do have people who turn up there / probably have our best discussions there), with the intention of talking about general England BB/NT stuff, (the US have one) but couldn't work out how to make it "invite only" (my patience / smarts with tech stuff can be lacking) so haven't shared it.

So, I have interest in the NT, and some time, I'm just not sure exactly how I can / how you'd want me to be useful. I like scouting at times, but it's harder scouting/predicting NTs than for my own teams. If you ever wanted an option on a lineup/tactic I think I'd have one. Things and stuff and words.

A discord chat is a good idea. I use that from time to time but i'm also useless with it. I never found the offsite to be that engaging personally, i prefer a chat based format to the forum base that it is on the offsite. And because you had to be authorised was irritating because some people were just never accepted.

The issue with cooperation is what you've stated, people are hesistant to share stats. As the NT coach i can help guide anyone who is willing to train with an intention on filling a gap in the NT. Chances are they'd make the NT more frequently if the coach attempted to fill a hole as opposed to training their own way.

If you figure out how to use the discord chat, let me know and we can circulate it. I for one would use it :)

Hey guys so the squad has been selected for the season, i may add one or two other players when i see fit but the guys i have picked will be the base of most of our games this season. As you can see we have pretty much a familiar squad with every player featuring last season. Could be the send off season for the iconic duo of Innes and Mac so enjoy them whilst they are still around :)

Well game 1 is in the books against Andorra...not the result i was hoping for at all. I think i need to go back to the drawing board and look at some rotations because something didn't go right today. This isn't a game we should be losing but granted they guessed correctly some how which probably won them the game. We're going to struggle against inside dominant teams going forward due to our short big rotation, it caught up with us today with them playing 200k bigs at SF/PF/C, we move on from this game though and just try to win as many as we can.

You have a player you want to train for your national team ?

Whatever his future position will be, whatever his skills are, start with at least one full season of 1vs1 on SF/PF.

Then contact a national coach.

This is currently the message that appears on English players over 21, I think it needs updating.

Also, I'm open to suggestions on how to train this guy for an NT role, his skills aren't great right now but he's got the height/potential to be a nice SF

Adam Watts (42675336)
Age: 18
Height: 6'6" / 198 cm
Potential: MVP

Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: awful Handling: inept
Driving: respectable Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: inept ↑ Inside Def.: inept
Rebounding: mediocre ↑ Shot Blocking: inept
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: atrocious

Experience: pitiful TSP: 52 (35 + 17)
