Mine is 47, Haek had 54 I think (18x3), but Haek had much worse IS and RB than my guy and RB is important if he has to defend a big man. Haek also had higher PA although not by much. Unfortunately my guy is a MVP while Haek was a HoF, so no issues with capping there. Considering I added about 80 TSP with limited HA/DR, that I used a lvl 4 trainer most of the times and that I had to train him out of position when I got in D1 (while trying to make the playoffs), I'm pretty happy about the result tbh.

I never heard about Haek. Full name? Sorry, I've been "away" couple of seasons...

Thanks! I have a player aged 24, with MVP potential in training. Current OD+ID+SB is 51...

It makes no sense, unless he has also some JS. And even then without enough IS he will miss layups.

The problem I had with Haek is that both his IS and RB were too low (5 IS I think it was and maybe 13-14 RB, I don't know because Nachmahr left it for last so I don't know where he got to). Haek played in D3 all his career except some D4 and D2 in his first 2-3 seasons. His stats need to be taken with a pinch of salt because of this.

He shot 0.329 for his career and has this stat line: 7.0(pts)- 7.1(rbd)- 3.2(ast)- 1.5(stl)- 1.9(blk). My guy: 0.401 shooting and 9.9- 12.6- 3.0- 0.8- 2.2. If you factor in one has been playing the near totality of his career in D3 and the other the majority in D1 and the rest in D2, I don't know if I'd take Haek: the only thing he could do better was guarding outside players, but being so bad on the other side of the court and a so-so rebounder would really hurt you in a competitive league.

Haek really was a one trick pony. As I told Nachmahr back then, with the same potential and the same amount of training he did, one could build a different kind of one trick pony, a 20JS 20JR 20IS 15PA player and then see whether he contributes more or less than the defense only guy.

Rebounding should be included in the defensive skills. A blocked shot is not as good as a steal, because it does not necessarily change the possession of the ball. In order to get possession, you need RB to take the loose ball after it was blocked.
