Realistically it happens in real basketball. But back to the importance of this change, it can be crucial during close games where there's 20 or less seconds on the clock where an offensive rebound would mean the defense won't have to resort to fouling because they can force a miss, get the defensive rebound and still have about 5-6 seconds left to execute a final play. It can make for some dramatic finishes to games.

I know it happens in real basketball. I’m not saying it would be a bad idea I actually want this idea as well I just wouldn’t say it’s much of a priority. How about we add shot clock violations before we worry about resetting the shot clock to 14

The shot clock would need to be fixed first to make sure that you don't have 40 seconds to shoot after some steals.
