Well I have 6 trainees and as I said, I don't to want lose all the games, I want to win some (like tv or rival games), to keep attendance and merchandise at least stable. Besides, I don't wanna risk a walkover - that way I would drop in the drafts.

If you want to make sure you have the first 'human' pick, then just lose to the bots or fabricate a bad enough Point Differential that you will pick ahead of other teams with the same record. Losing to a bot is not easy, but if you play 3 players and miss GDP on purpose and play bad tactics (like R&G with 2 lucky fans at PG and SG) it should be enough.

Is 3 the number of players I must have on the court to not commit a walkover? What if one of them fouls out?

You only need to start the game with 3 players. If they foul out it doesn't matter.

To add to what @lemonshire said it's always good also to burn your enthousiasm before the game you plan to loose.

Good knowledge considering you're only 2 weeks in the game.

A less than 2 weeks old team with no trained players, no transfers and purposely trying to lose the game is a good example of how you can randomly lose to a bot. Gotcha.

I have already managed to lose to a bot by letting only 3 players to play, setting bigs to defend guards, run&gun tactics. Planning to do that again :D
