Anecdotally it seemed effective last season, but same as you on 1 specific 34 year old this season - double drop 1st week, then 2 single drops today. It's always been random though...
I think we should ban double drops and probably make the players skill drops somewhat more predictable, but I suppose they're for another topic.

What I wouldn't give for just a double drop. Triple for a 34yo on my team yesterday. Still don't see a need for complaint.
