really tough one, I would probably go for 18 years old since a bulk of 5/5 A+ prospects could be disappointing (I mysef, had this experience very last season). if they were 4 star potential I would definitely go for 19 years old though.

:D here is my consecutive disappointing 19 years old 5/5 A+ draftee. Predraft evaluation is still a joke. it should based on TSP not merely on salary

Height: 6'3" / 190 cm

Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: proficient Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: mediocre Handling: inept

Rebounding: inept Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: pitiful Free Throw: strong

MVP … and not really ugly.
1 Season handling will give him about 18-20 Ups in Drive, Handling and some secondary and usually cross training.

come on man, he is ugly. he does not deserve the rating of A+ and even not sure about 5 star rating too. with your training suggestion every player can be trained to a valid degree, that is not the point here.

by the way, he was rated as A not A+, I was mistaken there. still my argument stands. this player (52712418) was also in my draft and he was listed as A-, this one is better than my draftee but according to predraft evaluation he is not

Not a bad player at all, with the right training will becomea quite decent.
Maybe not for a 1st pick, but its lottery in the end.

as I said before training is not the point here. No experienced user go and look for this player second time if was in the TL. he doesn't deserve to be graded as A or 5 star player. I think there is something inherently wrong about predraft evaluation. And honestly all your answers was not about it but how traing would make this player "good". Training would make all garbage players good. That is not the point here

Partly I agree with you, there's no big difference between bad and good players in the draft, the real point that gives the value is the potential.
