I'm having mixed success in the NBBA with starters who can almost keep up and backups that can stomp others' backups. I think there's a kind of "big game" quality that this type of team lacks, but if you combine that with some decent staminas, you're primed to own the 4th period. And that can make the difference. My starters are $150k, $140k, $100k, $100k, $90k. And backups are $50k, $50k, $40k, $30k. I'm currently 10-8 (+252) and in the semifinals of the cup.
That said, I'm formulating a plan to get a little more top-heavy if the right builds present themselves on the transfer list...
