Opponents are better, bad luck or you dont play outside minded defensive tactics.

Getting steals can be quite random too.

steals also depend on the opponent's players. If his PGs are good ball handlers and passers, your PG won't steal the ball from them that often. Normally any player can steal from anyone, but in BB my idea is that positions are mostly put against each other (didn't check this for sure though) so if your SG gets a lot of steals, it is possible the opponent's SG had bad handling.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Not quite. I think players can steal from the guy they are guarding if he has the ball or he's being passed the ball. So even though it looks like sometimes your C stole the ball from the opposing SF, this is really caused by the SF trying to make a poor pass to his PF.

Obviously, I can offer no proof, but the bottom line is that the second type of steals are related to poor passing and not to poor handling.

indeed, bad passing can lead to turnovers too, which is why I didn't call it steal, but I guess BB does count it as a steal.
I also said that I suspected in BB it isn't like normally, and positions are put up against each other, just as you say. ;)
Between the lines I can read you also suspect it, and aren't sure either, so we basically are thinking the same.

Isn't stealing depend first and for most on the player's outside defence level?

I thought that the higher OD a player has, the better chances he has to steal.

it's a comparision, if your opponent can't handle/pass it is easier to steal the ball so you don't need that much OD ...
