1-3-1 neutralizes the outside. Good luck getting a rebound.....

Depends on your players. You could also use your best rebounders with a 2-3 Zone, letting the opponent shoot and grabbing every missed shot.
Look at the last game of the german national team. They did this very succesfull.

hmm i used 3-2 zone against run&gun and it works perfectly, i've outrebound my opponent 80-51 and also i got 47% from the field against 37% from my opponent.

I used Man to man, and he played 3-2 zone... We both played Run & gun, and I won by 35:)

Conclusion: Man to man is the best defense tactic:)

That is much too simplistic, it doesn't take into account a variety of factors.
