Yes, scenario B will get you more training. However, I believe your question is about players A & B.

Players A&B receive the same amount of training under both scenarios. It is just that, in scenario two, C will get full training and D gets none. In scenario one, both C and D will get very little training.

Your players will get full training if they get 48 minutes. The drop-off after that is exponential. For example, with 47 mins you'll get 95% training, 46 mins, 85%, etc.

(those numbers are just as an example, I don't know what the actual numbers are)

Correct me if I am wrong in saying that it does not matter how many people train in the C position in my scenario. I could have A and B get 48 minutes and then C,D,E,F,G,H all get 4 minutes each and A and B would still get the full amount of training?

Ok, it depends what you are talking about. In your example you were talking about rebounding. So, if you choose the PF/C training option, 48 minutes at PF and/or C gets you the maximum amount of training. More minutes does nothing. Less minutes and you get less training.

However, if you choose to train "team" rebounding, the amount of training is significantly reduced. But 48 minutes is still the maximum amount of training.

So yes, the only thing that matters for the training of A and B is the amount of minutes A and B get.

Am I wrong or isn't it said that when you train several players (not only several positions) the training effect decreases. Meaning that you get 100% when you train one player with 48+ minutes at, lets say, as Center. When you let two players play at Center position with 48+ minutes you don't get 100% anymore, because the training effect is divided by two players, even though they got 48+ playing minutes.
The same happens again if you play 3 players at the trained position and so on and on and on.
So, if you played six different players at Center with two players getting 48+ minutes, these two players will receive less training due to the huge amount of trainees than they would receive if you played only 3 different players.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that the reason for decrease in training has more to do with the number of positions trained rather than the number of people trained. If it was the number of people, then you could do team passing training with just 5 players and get skill pops faster than training SG/PG with 6 players. This wouldn't make sense.

In other management games it seems that training that is limited to less people is faster partly due to the economical and tactical advantage given to each slot. For example, in HT, keepers train fastest, but you can only train a maximum of two players. Defenders train the slowest, but you can train 10 players.

In BB, if you drop your training focus to 1 position, the max that you could fully train would be 3 (given that you only play 1 player in the training slot per match and they don't foul or injure out). Your team's ratings wouldn't increase by that much (tactical handicap) and you wouldn't have as many players to sell (economic handicap).

This is of course, just my guess and I could be completely wrong, but I seriously doubt that training only 2 players in 2 slots (PG/SG combo) would be more effective than training 3 in one slot only.

That is exactly what I'm trying to figure out eastend. I'm curious because I had two guys on my team pick up 3-4 minutes at C that I didn't plan on. I'm curious if that means the guys I want to get the training will now receive slightly less because there are two additional people being trained.

number of people trained doenst effect it at all. Just number of positions and minutes.

Minutes are the solemn base for calculating the relative training effect within the chosen type of training regime.

Minutes (of the individual player in the individual training position) * type of training (single, mono, team) = effect

I would say that you would get exactly half of the training training 2 positions in stead of 1. In other words you;ll get the same total training points and you split them however you want.

i would say you would more training with more, but it the effiency the same.

Good players give good money, so a bit concentration could be good and you could buy older cheaper player.
