let´s use an other word instead of isolation. it was a little bit misunderstandable. i´d rather call it go to guy X. this is a real tactic (have a look at the cleveland cavaliers and lebron james or the miami head and dwyane wade or the orlando magic and dwight howard and so on;)).
so lets go on with your suggestions: i think 7 seconds or less (like phoenix suns did with shawn marion in their roster?) might be good. but what would be the advantage? your players shoot as quick as they can and don´t wait until they have open looks. it your offense doesn´t have any focus, which would imho be an advantage. so do you think this could really be effective?
triangle offense: works pretty nice in Los Angeles. but maybe its a bit too difficult to use it in the game engine. and also it is difficult to understand, which makes it useless for a majority of the managers. what do you think?
